Assessment

Have you been told your child is not reading at grade level? Has your child been diagnosed with dyslexia or a language learning disability or impairment in reading? Are you interested in helping your child improve their reading, writing, and spelling?  The first place to start is by scheduling a brief chat to tell me about your child.  This is also a good time to see if we are a good fit for each other.  There are several Orton-Gillingham-trained literacy specialists in Edmonton and I can refer one if needed.

Once I have an understanding of what your child is experiencing we will schedule an assessment.  This will provide me with a better understanding of what pieces are missing.  The information gathered will allow me to create a plan for our learning sessions going forward.  Assessments are approximately 60 to 90 minutes and can be online or in-person.
